◆ Chap.1 高牆之外，獸潮湧動

諸神黃昏之後，廢墟中的人類倖存者重新站了起來，在這片劫後餘生的世界建立新的文明，並將其命名為艾蘭特（Errant，意為背棄神明的世界）。

距今約600年前，艾蘭特王國突然受到了一群神秘怪物的襲擊，許多城市被夷為平地，倖存者寥寥無幾。士兵們的武器對它們來說毫無作用，如同隔靴搔癢，人們將這些無比強大的怪物稱為巨獸（Behemoth）。王國的統治者絕望地築造一環環的高牆，試圖阻擋巨獸，但是也只能稍稍減緩攻勢而已，在這種情勢下，人類的滅亡似乎只是時間問題。

◆ Chap.2 成為獵人，或是獵物

儘管局勢一片黯淡，但是還有很多人沒有放棄對勝利的希望。他們前赴後繼地與巨獸戰鬥，一點點換取有關巨獸的寶貴知識。

終於，人們發現了，巨獸的力量來自於它們體內的獵魂，這些獵魂蘊含著上古眾神的意識和力量，獵魂使巨獸發生異變，變成了現在的模樣，並且驅使它們進攻與吞噬人類積蓄力量。

◆ Chap.3 獵魂覺醒，斬龍滅獸

其中一些擁有使用獵魂之力的人類集合在一起，成立了遊騎兵組織（Rangers）。

隨後的數個世紀，遊騎兵奮戰在抵禦巨獸的最前線，付出了巨大的犧牲，一次次的從巨獸的威脅中拯救艾蘭特王國。儘管成功抵禦了數次獸潮，王國的領土卻大大縮減，大片土地淪為巨獸出沒的危險荒野。

在一場名為「寒鴉之亂」內戰後，遊騎兵和艾蘭特王國蒙受了巨大的災難，實力大大削減遊騎兵組織幾乎分崩離析。

◆ Chap.4 戰團集結，共鬥強敵

第五次獸潮入侵後，在王國的支持下大批新鮮血液加入，遊騎兵組織漸漸恢復了「寒鴉之亂」前的勢力。

遊騎兵們以狩獵小隊為單位，集結起來組成一個個名為“戰團”的作戰同盟，與巨大化的強敵展開殊死激鬥。

但能否收復人類的故土，消滅巨獸，能否應對下一次大規模發生的獸潮，仍是未知之數。
